  2. Grand Vins du Languedoc– Premium range: Faugeres, Corbieres, Minervois, Pic Saint Loup, Saint Chinian, Cabardes, Limoux, Muscats, Fitou, Picpoul de Pinet, Clairette du Languedoc, Malepere, Denominations de l’AOC Languedoc

  3. AOC Languedoc – value for money: AOC Languedoc

2011/2012 Interprofessional asked INAO for help to build the regional hierarchy but was given the Burgundy model which doesn’t work as it’s far more vast than Burgundy.

80% of Carignan in the world are produced in Languedoc

All lower range wines are grouped together as IGP de Terres du Midi in order to compete with other countries with similar price range. Wines providing value for money. This project has just been launched earlier this year.
