Camellia and Vine's Autumn Wine Selection.

Early bird offer: £150 per box of 6 wines including delivery charge in England. 

 

This special autumn selection wine box consists of:

  • six wines (3 whites and 3 reds, 750 ml each)
  • made by six uncommon grape varieties (fun to explore but super delicious)
  • from six countries (Austria, Hungary, USA, Italy, Spain, South Africa)

 

These wines are carefully curated by our in-house wine expert Leona De Pasquale DipWSET. It will be a great selection for those who want to explore different wines from unfamiliar regions or as a present for wine lovers (well Christmas is almost around the corner). 

 

Wine 1: Funkstille Grüner Veltliner, Niederösterreich, Austria, 2022

Subtle exotic hints, ripe pear and fresh citrus flavours, it's a dry wine with complex flavours. The palate is rich with flavours of melon and grapefruit with a refreshing, zippy finish.

 

Food Matching
Sushi, chicken or turkey, grilled fish and salads.

 

Wine 2: Mád, Dry Furmint, Tokaj, Hungary, 2019
Elegant, delicately aromatic with a touch of spice. Apricot, lychee, honeysuckle and ginger. Well-balanced with minerality and structure. Bright, mouthwatering acidity, great Furmint typicity. Just off-dry in style with delightfully light alcohol – so yes, you can have another glass, it would be Mad not to!


Food Matching
Try it with gammon, roast pork, or smoked barbeque chicken. Also great with lighter or vegetarian pasta dishes or salads.

 

Wine 3: Cartlidge and Browne, Chardonnay, North Coast, California, USA, 2021

Burgundian in style with elegant mineral complexity combined with the slightest of caramel and brown sugar notes. Aromas of a green apples and honeysuckle lead to a palate that is both silky and generous. Flavors of pear, melon and light citrus with aromatics of straw, lemon and oak tones of sweet caramel and hazelnut.

 

Food Matching
Very versatile, well balanced with excellent acidity and will perfectly pair with a number of foods. Seafood dishes, grilled chicken, pork or veal.

 

Wine 4: Produttori Di Manduria, ElectricBee, IGT Puglia, Italy, 2021

Very intense and incredibly complex, this beautifully crafted wine has an aroma reminiscent of ripe cherry, plum, and blackberry, yet retains a delicate freshness and softness on the palate.


Food Matching
Hearty and meaty pasta dishes with rich red sauces

 

Wine 5:Bodegas Altolandon, MilHistorias Bobal, Manchuela,Spain, 2020

A deep cherry colour with violet tints. The aroma is intense, full of ripe red seasonal fruit (cherries, blackberries, blackcurrant), subtle hints of violets, rosemary and a touch of black pepper. This Bobal shows distinctive power, vibrant fruit, freshness with soft and ripe tannin. It is spicy and juicy with a well rounded palate with a fascinating crunchy-fruit freshness. The finish is gently tannic combined with excellent depth.


Food Matching
Best with richly flavoured meat. Roasts, cheeses and cold cuts.

 

Wine 6: B Vintners Liberté Pinotage,Stellenbosch, South Africa, 2020

Elegance, freshness and finesse are key, still remaining concentrated and age-able. Flavours of fresh cherries, blackcurrant and potpourri reveal themselves first, with subtleties of dried herbs and spice lending complexity. The palate follows through with fruit concentration, and intricate and dense structure, while hints of savoury and spice gives dimensions. The lingering taste of blueberries is a great reminder of the complexity of the wine.

 

Food Matching
Lamb shank, wild mushroom risotto or aubergine and red lentil curry
